Naperville Attorney and Democrat DuPage County Board Member, Sadia Covert, is running for Circuit Court Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit for the open judicial seat in Subcircuit 2, which covers parts of Naperville, Aurora, and West Chicago. Covert has been elected twice to serve on the DuPage County Board, District 5. As a founding partner of her law firm, Covert Marrero Covert LLP, Sadia Covert has developed diverse legal experience, with a major focus on foreclosure defense to save families from losing their homes. Covert has worked in a plethora of different fields of law, from assisting in criminal prosecution and defense work, to foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, contracts, real estate, business transactions, and family law. Sadia Covert has trial court experience and focused a significant portion of her work to saving families from losing their homes to foreclosure.
Sadia Covert received the 2016 Barack Obama Presidential Service Award, co-authored the 2017 amendment to the Illinois Hate Crime Law that passed unanimously by state legislature, and spoke at the United Nations 62nd Commission on the Status of Women. As an elected DuPage County Board Member, she knows the needs of an increasingly diverse community. She will continue to use her sound judgment on the bench.
